What is really awesome about the campaign is how they have put such a great variety of missions. You can be causing massive damage with superpowered weapons one mission and then the next you need to use stealth to avoid detection.
When you talk about ARMA 3 you have to talk about the whole realism aspect of the game. The game plays it very straight. This is true for the amount of damage you do and can take and the handling of weapons and so on. However, what really blew my mind the first time I played ARMA 3 was how real the visuals in the game look. They have two different islands and there are times I would find myself just looking at various details and being certain that these were not made on a computer and that they had to be some kind of photo they had put into the game!
The realism factor does mean that there is a bit of a steep learning curve. The multiplayer is what has really hooked me with this game.
